I honestly don’t know where to start, what a woman Niki is!

She was the first and only celebrant we met with and we instantly knew she was the perfect one for us. From the minute she sat down it was just full on laughter and that just continued throughout our entire experience with her.

Niki was on hand to answer any questions we had and always had all the information we needed when we needed it, she also had no concern in taking the mick out of us (Lewis ) as she knew we would receive it well and joke back with her.

The ceremony itself was amazing, my face hurt from smiling and laughing all the way through and Niki just told our story in the most ideal way and honestly I could have listened to her for hours more, she has such a way with words that I don’t know how anyone couldn’t enjoy her ceremonies and I can confirm our guests felt the exact same. We knew Niki was right for us from the very first zoom call. She’s fun and hilarious, but at the same time is very professional. She immediately got the dynamic of our relationship and we felt comfortable to share all the soppy parts. She was always available when we had any questions and there was a fair few!

Now onto our ceremony…it was absolutely perfect! It was a great mix of funny and heartfelt. It was so surreal hearing our story spoken out loud in front of our guests, and it was something we were both a little nervous about as we are quite guarded individuals. If you have done any tiny amount of research on Niki, you will know that all her reviews are spectacular … its exceptionally hard to find something to say about someone so incredible that hasn’t already been said! The reviews really do speak for themselves and we agree with what everyone has already said 1000%, so let me try and add to what has already been mentioned. I think that the way Niki is able to get to the heart of your relationship and not only summarise and tell your story, but also to validate how special your love truly is, is an insane talent.

Somehow through Niki, we managed to learn more about a love that we have known to be there for 9 years, but never actually voiced. Love, whilst not taken for granted, can sometimes get sidelined by the business of living, and Nikki’s talent allowed us to really stop, and remember the reasons as to why that love started and remains in the first place. What she uncovers doesn’t change how you feel about your other half, (although I think I love my husband even more since if thats possible), but it certainly reminds you of how special it is to have found each other within this extensive universe.

Niki’s talent is able to bring this love to the forefront of your wedding day, forget all the fluff and extra bits (whilst beautiful) the most important part is the story she weaves from the lives you have lead. She brings the heart and warmth to your ceremony with the perfect balance to the solemnity of the occasion. In a word Fantastic. Niki is absolutely brilliant. I would recommend her for everything, but especially for being a celebrant. After some searching through other Celebrants, who were nice and fine, we immediately clicked with Niki on our first zoom call. She was so kind and enthusiastic about us and getting to know us. She put us to ease so quickly, and made us feel much more confident heading into wedding planning. She provided so many resources and advice on what we could include in our ceremony to make it our own and answered all the many questions we had, and was always within reach on Messenger if we had more. Then when we met up for our second meeting face to face, it was even better, everything was so nicely structured and planned, we had no worries that it was all under control and would go without a hitch. We talked about the whole ceremony and she showed us exactly the things that she would do and when, and what we were to do and when. We ended up just chatting and talking for hours. It is so fun and so easy to chat with Niki. She then gave us a questionnaire' to fill out about our partner, so that should could give a really personal ceremony. And what a ceremony it was beautiful, and funny, and so personal to us. it really hit the vibe of what we wanted and who we were as people. it was casual and fun. She looked after all the little details like positioning us so the photographer could get a good shot, and a straw for my wife's glass, so she didn't smear her lip stick. What is there to say about Niki other than she is absolutely blooming marvellous! We both felt like we'd known her for years and that is purely down to the effort she puts in to getting to know you as a couple before the ceremony. Wow, what a woman! From the very first meeting (via Zoom call during lockdown) my new husband and I knew we wanted to book Niki. I'd read loads of reviews about Niki so had an idea she'd be great, but she totally exceeded them all. We honestly can’t say enough nice things about Niki, she absolutely made our day what it was and created the most relaxed and funny ceremony that had everyone smiling and at ease.

Now that we’re settling into married life, I can finally sit down and leave the most deserving reviews.

We looked online at different celebrants and their pages and when we came across Niki, there was just something different that stood out from the rest. From her videos and pictures on her website, her personality just shown right through and we knew we had to arrange a meeting with Niki. Firstly we were buzzing Niki had our date available.

From following Niki on social media I knew I wanted to meet her and book her for our wedding - the day we booked our venue we got in touch but she already was booked. Niki by far was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding. Our day would not have been what it was without her! Our relationship with Niki didn't just start and end on our wedding day, it was 2 years in the making before our day and even now still after. We met Niki in 2019 when she married our best friends and knew then that she was the one for us, despite not having our wedding booked at the time. I had followed her on social media since and was absolutely delighted when we got in touch and she had our date available.

When we met up on Zoom during covid, it was like we'd been friends forever. We honestly don't know where to start! Niki you are amazing!!

From the minute we met Niki through zoom she had us laughing and throwing the banter right back at Paddy which made us know right away we wanted Niki as part of our day. Niki, Niki, Niki!! I started following Niki on social media around 2 years ago. Her reviews and stories gripped me and I just warmed to her instantly! Seems weird saying that as we had not even communicated at this point. As the months passed, I discovered Niki had married some people I knew which drew me towards her even more!

We first met Niki back in March 2019 after watching many videos and reading reviews of celebrants. Within minutes of meeting her we knew she was the one to marry us. Her warmth and humour put us right at ease and we both left the meeting feeling excited and happy about what was to come.

We kept in touch loosely over the next few months and then Covid hit which resulted in 2 date changes over the next 2 years. One of our key priorities through those changes was to make sure Niki could accommodate any new date.

When me and Jonny started planning our wedding we knew that for us the ceremony and how it was conducted was the most important thing to get right. I had been doing research in to a celebrant and nothing felt right until I came across Niki’s Facebook page. Immediately I got great vibes from her fun, relaxed videos she shares. I knew of Niki's work through mutual friends which is always reassuring when someone you love and care about speaks so highly of someone not just how good they are at their job but as a person.

My husband & I then met her at a wedding fayre at Dalmeny Park & after a 5min chat he was keen to book her "seems nice enough & a up for a good laugh".  We booked her during lockdown without a proper meeting or chat but felt confident enough.

Niki was a dream through the whole process, keeping us in the loop with updates, things to remember & sort, checking in just to see how we were & her daily updates on social media made me smile (& still do).

The way Niki gets her information to write your scripts is genius! My advice is no matter how tempting it is to cheat, do it exactly as she says, it keeps it exciting, fun & hilarious on the day. Plus it leaves you with lasting memories after the wedding.

Our first meeting with Niki was in Costa & we were there for hours having a right good chin wag! But it helped make our script perfect without us even knowing. She also helped me out with other things that day like decor, ideas, discounts, she's a woman of many talents.

On the day of the wedding she was amazing at keeping everything calm, even entertained our guests on zoom which was a very last minute surprise to her thanks to covid, whilst we had some shoe dramas which delayed the kick off!

Our ceremony was amazing! Everyone spoke about how good Niki was, how funny the ceremony was, yet touching & most importantly so very us. She started the day just as we had imagined and more. She really set the tone of the day well.

Well, I don’t even know where to start when it comes to writing a review for Niki as it is impossible to put into words how amazing she is. Niki you were one of the easiest decisions we made for the wedding! I remember going to Dalmenys wedding Fayre and meeting you there and at that point we hadn’t even thought about who was going to marry us! Myself and my Husband got married on 29/12/21 and we can honestly say our ceremony was the best part of the wedding.

We can’t thank Niki enough for the amazing ceremony she gave us. We truly believe it is the most important part to a wedding and Niki made it perfect.

Niki set the light hearted, romantic, cheeky and fun tone for the day ahead & we absolutely cannot thank her enough for capturing our story perfectly in our ceremony. Form our first meeting we just loved Niki. She came into our house, became best friends with our dog and got lots of smiles and giggles from our son. After about a  5 minute quick wee chat and a good laugh we knew Niki was the woman for us. She is such a lovely & genuine woman who you feel like you’ve known forever when you meet her. When we speak to our guests about the wedding one of the first compliments we get about our day is how much everyone enjoyed the ceremony. Niki took the time to really get to know us. Myself and David Rock Paper Scissors to make most day to day decisions like who’s doing the washing up, I don’t even remember telling Niki about this but somehow she remembered and had me and David play for who was going first with their vows. There aren’t enough words or gestures in this world to explain/describe and encourage other couples to book this lady for your wedding… she is an angel.

Niki isn’t just there to marry you… she’s there to dry those happy tears, fix those buttonholes, give you a wee glass of Dutch courage and a belly full of laughter when your nerves have got the best of you.

I cannot recommend Niki to all future couples enough. She’s so amazing what every guest from my wedding is still talking about her work. She is warm, humble, kind, caring, unique, hilarious and she’s just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

When you’re hiring Niki, she doesn’t give you a standard ceremony… she gives you something unique with a touch of special magic. It’s no standard procedure. Everything is well thought out and planned. She had myself, my gorgeous husband and all my guests in fits of laughter along with all the “ahh’s and ohh’s” due to the beauty of her words and the flow of the ceremony. This post will never do any justice for the justice Niki did at my wedding.

She told mine and Lee’s story so well. She got to know us, she knew our thoughts and how we are as people… Lee and I are normally private people and Niki displayed our love story in a way that’s never been done before. I replay the ceremony in my head every day and laugh or become smitten because of how magical Niki made it for us.

Niki was absolutely amazing. Me and Ewan are pretty emotionless and stoic people to be honest, and we cried the whole way through the service

Everyone commented on how Niki’s smile lot the room up, how it was like she had known us forever, how she perfectly captured and embodied every element of ‘us’ and projected it into our ceremony, so it didn’t feel like someone simply telling our story from a script, it was someone sharing the deepest, most personal parts of our relationship to our nearest and dearest in a way that really hit home what our relationship is like and what we mean to each other (which is easy to forget and take for granted sometimes). It was the most emotionally charged day of my life, cleverly broken up by appropriate humour to help us not cry ourselves to death  and of course when wee things went wrong (I.e repeating things that weren’t my line while struggling to force the ring over a finger that didn’t fit it anymore ) it was quickly brought back on track and included as if it was something that was planned.

Honestly, all I can say is just go ahead and bloody book Niki and save yourself the trouble of finding someone else who wouldn’t even come close to her. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts

Where to start with oor Niki. Absolutely amazing from the start. We found Niki during lockdown and unfortunately we were unable to meet in person. We had a video call with her and she was amazing! Made us feel so at ease and it was like we had known her for year! She even didn't mind our crazy dog jumping about in front of the camera (sorry about that again ). We eventually got to meet her in person to go over some more details for the ceremony. It was so lovely and chilled out. We sat talking for ages and having a good old laugh about life.

On the day she had to deal with a very nervous groom, probably thinking she would need to get some back up incase he hit the deck (thankfully he managed to stay on his feet.... Just). Niki came to see me while getting ready and to settle my nerves and assure me everything would go to plan.

Who would have known that one person could make such an impact on your special day ?!! From the minute John and I met Nikki we knew instantly that she was the celebrant for us !! When my now husband and I cancelled our Cyprus wedding (due to travel restrictions) we were gutted.

But, I didn't let that stop our plans on getting married. I viewed a few Celebrants pages and none of them 'felt right' until I came across Niki. I messaged her 1 morning (end of Jan) and got an instant reply! I told her that we had to cancel our abroad wedding and we were booking a elopement for May in Aviemore. And let me tell you, she was as excited as much as we were!

Because of social distancing unfortunately we couldn't meet face to face but we had a lovely video call and I felt like I knew her for years.

We kept in contact till the big day. And I knew if I needed her she would be there to help

The day of our wedding she was a godsend. From carrying my father In laws ridiculously over sized hip flask to entertaining our guests. She went out her way with absolutely everything.

Niki really took the time to get to know myself and my husband, both as individual and as a couple. Our ceremony was personal and unique to us, I feel she captured us as a couple so well. Niki has also been a huge support during trying times, with COVID meaning my husband and I not only had to postpone our wedding but also couldn’t see each other for over a year. We were so grateful for Niki’s check ins, kind words and genuine care for us. We married in March this year during lockdown and it was both romantic and ridiculously fun. And we are doubly lucky as Niki is going to help us do it all again next year when, fingers and toes crossed, all our family and friends from Scotland and Australia will be able to join us. Niki has been our fairy godmother through all our covid wedding dates! She finally married us on Nov 12th 2020 in the borders (originally supposed to be Glasgow) and had everyone in tears and fits of laughter. All of our guests said it was one of the nicest and most personal ceremonies they'd ever been to  and we absolutely loved it!

We originally had our wedding booked for the 23rd March 2020 at the Dalmeny Park Hotel and had been recommended to use Niki as our Celebrant by the hotel. I  can hand on heart say that without Niki our wedding probably wouldn’t have happened! We decided, in the middle of a pandemic, to throw a surprise wedding. All to be organised in a 5 week timescale from Lanzarote. Anyone else would have laughed at us but not Niki Smith!

In her own self assured style she took us through every step, often using Zoom as we were abroad. She was patient and organised, unlike ourselves! There aren't enough words to thank Niki for everything she done for us. I never knew much about weddings and certainly wasn't prepared for all the changes and stresses thanks to covid. Niki was there for us at the end of a phone to guide us, keep us calm and reassure us every step of the way (I would definitely have given up without her).

From the very first meeting we knew we wanted Niki to marry us right away. I've never felt so comfortable so quickly in the company of a stranger. After just a short chat we felt as though we had always known Niki and she took the time to get to know us. Our ceremony had us down to an absolute tee. It was personal, beautiful and it was funny and lighthearted.. exactly how we wanted and it better then we could of imagined!

Every one of our guests commented on how much time Niki must have spent getting to know us and said it was the best wedding ceremony they'd ever been to.

I worried about a lot of things leading up to our wedding but I never once worried that our ceremony wouldn't be what we imagined, I never had any doubts it would be brilliant and I could rely on Niki. Of course I was right and we can not thank you enough!!

Oh and lastly I was worried because I knew our nearly 2 year old wouldn't sit perfectly during the ceremony. Niki assured us from the start that it absolutely didn't matter. And it didn't.. He drove his toy cars round about us, he cried and he played with the wedding decor  Niki was calm, patient and completely unphased the whole time allowing me to be calm and enjoy our beautiful ceremony!

We can't thank you enough Niki!! We will definitely miss you and would do it all over again in a heart beat  can't wait to catch up with you some time in the future  you are amazing!! Xxx

Do you remember that feeling when you’re not even looking but a post comes through Facebook and you just know you have found the right one.

That feeling of elation and excitement and even more so when you know they feel the same and want to begin a relationship. Well that’s exactly how it was, not with my now husband Andy but with our celebrant Niki.

If Niki wants to share our story, she is more than welcome, but I have to say it was by no means a conventional wedding and there were plenty of twists along the way and its not even over as we have to repeat it all again next year. (Oh Gosh! She has to put up with me for another year).

Right from the start I knew Niki was the one, her approach to our wedding was pure excitement, probably more than mine. Throughout our journey of meetings and discussions, one of which she joined us for an afternoon on holiday with the family.

Niki is now an extended part of our family and will continue to be in the future. Her warmth and patients is commendable even putting up with my bad jokes and weird sense of humour even on the day of our wedding when I made her heart rate rocket when I told her I didn’t have the schedule.

During our wedding more people commented afterwards about how the wedding was conducted and how calm, reassuring and comical the ceremony was – and that was due to her hard work, taking time to know us as a family and putting those extra touches to make our day really special and she will never truly know how much that means to us.

There is no doubt in my mind, if anyone was to ask who to have as a celebrant, unlike saying ‘I do’ at the wedding there would be no hesitation in recommending Niki at all.

Fast forward a few months and Niki came to visit myself Ryan and Dior ( chihuahua) at our home and this was the first time Ryan had met her and it was like we knew Niki for years she made us feel at ease, explained how the ceremony would flow and then has good banter over a cuppa getting to know us more .... fast forward to the lead up to our wedding which was meant to be 8th of august this year and Niki was meant to be coming out to start going over the scripts etc but it was all halted and because of this Virus that has happened in the world we were saddened to take a decision for the best and we have postponed our wedding until next year . Unfortunately Nikki cannot marry us as she has another couple in our chosen date - and may I add I am sooooo saddened by this but the lucky couple who have this wonderful celebrant to marry them will have the best day and we wish them luck , Niki then even went out her way and recommend another celebrant who she thought would be good for us and we trusted her and went with him . We first met Niki  at a local wedding show and after speaking to her for only a few minutes we knew that she was the right Celebrant to hold our wedding ceremony as she was friendly, smiley and very informative! Niki has always been very easy to get in touch with and we have felt supported every step of the way with her. Whenever we met up or spoke it always felt more like friends chatting rather that serious ‘wedding business’ which made the experience much more enjoyable and fun. Due to COVID-19, like a lot of other couples, we were in the unfortunate position of having to postpone our wedding. Niki was in touch very quickly regarding the situation and was always keeping us informed. We ended up having to postpone our wedding until later in the year which unfortunately is a date that Niki is unavailable due to another booking (popular lady!).This is something we were gutted about as we really have wanted Niki to conduct our ceremony if she was available. With this being said, even though we ended up having to cancel with Niki, she went completely over and above and not only found us a replacement Celebrant for our new date, but kindly provided a hand over to them with some of the material we had chosen so we were not starting all over again with the new person. This speaks to Niki’s character as she is not only a true professional but a lovely person. Having left it quite late to book a celebrant for our wedding   I consider us extremely lucky that Niki was available. We met at a wedding show and penciled in our date and then had a meeting the following week. Niki gave us a booking form and envelope (with a stamp) but I told her on the spot she was the one and we signed the form. For some strange reason it felt like we knew her all our lives and we knew nobody else would compare. Throughout the whole experience Niki has been patient, kind, knowledgeable and most of all a great laugh. We had the most amazing experience with Niki  from the moment we met her. She listened to all of our ideas and our wishes and she made everything so perfect. My wife and I attended a wedding fayre at our venue  and were approached by this wonderful woman. We exchanged details and eventually set a date to meet and have a chat. Niki made everything so easy, relaxed and funny. She explained what would happen on the day and assured us it would be tailored to us. After our chat we were more than happy to have Niki marry us. She was very thorough and always more than willing to be contacted to help out when needed. When it came closer to the day we were emailed some info we had to provide to help build our script then, had a meeting to start a bit of structure to our script. Niki, Caitlin and I chatted for 2 hours and had a good laugh. She was so easy to get on with and made us both feel very relaxed and comfortable in her company. The week prior to our big day we said down and had a video chat just to go over some last details to make sure we were happy with how it was going down. On the day she couldn’t have been a more calming influence. She done a fantastic job and we are forever grateful to Niki. The feedback from our guests regarding Niki was nothing but positive and every comment had nothing but praise for how she handled our day.

We don’t just see Niki as the person who married us. We now consider her a friend.

We honestly don’t know where to start with Niki,we are still blown away by our fantastic ceremony on 7th September. The first time we met Niki, we knew straight away she was the celebrant for us as it was like catching up with a friend. Niki is hilarious, with a contagious laugh and has the most refreshing outlook on love and life. We spoke with Niki regularly over 10 months, and met up a couple of times which ended up being the funniest, most enjoyable encounters. Niki is just so easy to get along with, we can’t recommend her enough to anyone who’s needing a celebrant! She was so professional throughout and nothing was ever too much to ask. She kept us right about all the legalities and wrote us a script that will never be forgotten by us or our guests. The ceremony was so personal to us, and the room was filled with so much love and laughter. Our guests spoke about it for the rest of the day and don’t seem to have stopped talking about the whole day for which Niki set the tone with the amazing ceremony. We still cannot get over the cheer from our guests at the end when dust fell from the ceiling of the 14th century Neidpath Castle, it was incredible! We decided to elope to Scotland after the headache of trying to plan a whole wedding in the United States. Niki was there for every bit of the process when we decided to go overseas for our elopement, and she made the planning easy and fun. She would Skype with us and even did so at hours that were convenient for us even though we were on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. She was open to our suggestions and had wonderful ideas herself. She worked absolutely perfectly with the other members of the team working with us such as the photographer. From the very first time we met Niki,  we knew she was the one that we wanted to have as our celebrant. We met her at a wedding fayre, and she was lovely. Niki was a pleasure to work with right from the start.  Her personality is so warm and enthusiastic, the first time I met her I knew we would have to book her for our wedding! Throughout our wedding planning journey, Niki was so so helpful, aiding myself and my partner in writing personal vows to each other, and ensuring our script was perfect with multiple drafts. I was adamant I wanted my ceremony outside, and despite the very windy and drizzly weather on our wedding day, Niki stayed cool calm and collected, and managed to cut down the script at very short notice in order to get though the outdoor ceremony and get everyone back inside before it started bucketing down! And even when a massive decoration got blown over and crashed down in the middle of our vows, Niki reassured everyone that our vows were more important than decorations and the show must go on! She was so reassuring for me on the day and I don’t think our ceremony could have been pulled of had I chosen anyone else to do it. All our guests commented on how engaging Niki was, she just went above and beyond, nothing was too much of an ask for her! She even went out and got a new dress to wear to my colourful themed wedding.  We had  previous meetings with Niki to gather all the information and to help her write our personal story about our life and relationship. Niki kept in touch throughout the whole time from booking until the day. Myself and my Husband (Kevin) had been considering all options of who conducted our ceremony.

 We had met numerous celebrant/humanists/ministers and just never felt like the person represented our personalities, that was until we met Niki at the wedding fayre at the Hilton in Glasgow. We knew she was the one, as soon as we left her stand. What we really liked and struck a chord with me and Kevin, was that she wasn't taking bookings that day. She wanted to meet us for a consultation.

We walked away from the stall with a smile on our face, looking forward to booking a consultation meeting with Niki at our venue over a coffee. Well we knew Niki was the person when the coffee's went cold and spent a good couple of hours just chatting. Most of the conversation was not about the wedding or even the ceremony, it was like talking to a very good friend you had not seen for a long time. Yet again Niki advised us to take some time and think about our choice before getting back to her. We walked outside the venue sat in the car and text Niki to inform her, we wanted to book her.

Once we booked Niki she got to know me and my husband really well and we got to know her really well. Niki was always approachable about anything about the ceremony, however she constantly went the extra mile to help us both out with other parts of our day.

She is just brilliant, a very bubbly, kind hearted, caring lady who has a passion for job and takes pride in her work (Delivering the very best ceremony). Which is why we would highly recommend Niki, she puts so much time and effort in to your ceremony and tailored it to us both. She truly is amazing, our ceremony was perfect and we both loved every minute of it. We have watched our wedding video several times and it always brings a smile to our faces listening to the ceremony because Niki captured our relationship and delivered the fun, happy engaging ceremony we were looking for.

Although Niki was such an integral part of making our day special, it was the little things all along the way that make Niki Truly one of the best celebrants out there (in mine and my husband’s eyes).
